As you all know, I love trying out new skincare products and am on the constant hunt for the best skincare products for my skin!  I was very happy that Merlot Natural Grape Seed Skincare graciously decided to send me three products to review – Merlot Natural Grape Seed Cleanser, Merlot Natural Grape Seed Body Butter, and Merlot Natural Grape Seed Hand Cream PLUS Sanitizer.

To give a short history about the company – Merlot Natural Grape Seed Skincare was created by Wayne Beckley, a man called Dr. Grapes or Mr. Merlot by friends, who has a background in chemistry and has long been dedicated to health/wellness. After watching a news program discussing the benefits of drinking red wine, Beckley decided to look further and found that the grape seed holds the majority of the antioxidants.  After this discovery, he started Merlot Natural Grape Seed Skincare to put the research into action and allow consumers the chance to access skincare that harnessed the power of this grape seed.  To add a quote from Beckley himself – “I created the Merlot Skin Care line to be powerful, effective, and affordable.  The anti-aging formulas are designed to be gentle, but offer a huge amount of protection thanks to the grape seed antioxidants.”  Moving onto the actual products!

Merlot Natural Grape Seed Cleanser

I’ve been using this cleanser for a couple weeks and love how soft my skin feels!  The cleanser is gentle and I had no issues with irritation or redness.  The cleanser contains no soap so it was a different experience than most cleansers I’ve used as it didn’t lather as much and more product was needed than I expected; however, this contributes to the natural benefits of this cleanser.  I would definitely say that this cleanser would be a fantastic option for those with sensitive skin (fragrance free!).  The cleanser did the job I expected without leaving my skin feeling raw or irritated.  The cleanser contains various fruit extracts, including papaya, green apple, cucumber, and, of course, grape seed.

Merlot Natural Grape Seed Body Butter

This is an amazing body butter!  When I used this on my dry legs, it kept them beautifully moisturized longer than any other body butter I’ve used in the past.  The company claims that the body butter provides 24 hours of moisturizer and I seriously wouldn’t doubt that at all!  The body butter is a creamy consistency and can help protect the skin against environmental pollutants (major plus as these pollutants contribute to wrinkles, discoloration, and other skin issues!).

Merlot Natural Grape Seed Hand Cream PLUS Sanitizer

This is probably my favorite out of the three products, mainly because I need to use a hand sanitizer on a daily basis (working with children!).  Most hand sanitizers seem to leave my hands feeling dry or uncomfortable…or have a chemical smell that I definitely don’t enjoy – that’s not an issue at all with this hand cream and sanitizer (again, fragrance free!).  I love that this cream moisturizers my hands WHILE sanitizing so I can’t have beautifully hydrated hands while also sanitizing them.  Cream contains aloe, matricaria flower, and grape seed extract to hydrate the skin while protecting it.  ALSO, as an added bonus, the cream is SPF 15.

The Verdict:  Recommend!  I think this is especially a fantastic brand to try if you have fragrance sensitivities or have sensitive skin.
