I love candles.  I love jewelry.  So what could be better than receiving a piece of jewelry in a candle?  And on top of that, surprises are awesome too…having no idea what to expect when burning the candle was so exciting!

Amour Scents has a lot of fantastic sounding scents to choose from, including Coconut Lime Verbena, Fresh Linen, Jasmine, Lemongrass, Apple Pie, and MORE.  As I was feeling in the Christmas spirit, I decided to go with the candle that included Evergreen scent – the Evergreen Citrus candle!

When I chose this scent, I was definitely stepping outside of my comfort zone as it was not a scent that I have burned before.  I’m not sure what I was expecting when choosing an Evergreen Citrus candle, but let me just say that the scent was definitely not what I was expecting.  Personally, I’m not a huge fan of this scent, but I can say that it was a very strongly scented candle.  After burning for about two hours, I could see the foil starting to appear (the jewelry is wrapped in plastic, which is then wrapped in foil).

I’m extremely impatient, so when the candle got to this point, I used needle nose pliers to pull the foil packet out of the candle!

The foil and plastic protected the jewelry perfectly and I did not have any issues with candle wax getting on my jewelry.  So, what did I receive you ask?  I got a BEAUTIFUL pair of earrings with purple jewels – which is perfect since purple is my favorite color!

I’ve purchased multiple jewelry candles in the past and I’ll have to say that the foil packet in this candle was the EASIEST to retrieve.  I also think that I like the jewelry in this one the most!

Amour Scents candles may include rings, earrings, or pendants.  One of the nice additions to the website that I have not seen on other jewelry candle websites is that you can see a list of the current jewelry offered in the candles!  Although you can not CHOOSE, you can get an idea of what to expect!
