What are Phytoceramides?  That was initially my question too!  Phytoceramides are the plant-derived equivalent of ceramides.  Now…the next question?  What are ceramides?  Ceramides are lipids that keep skin hydrated.  As a person ages, the skin loses the amount of ceramides, which is part of the reason that the skin appears to look less hydrated and more wrinkled.  Supplements like this can help with skin appearance by adding those back into your system!  Personally, my skin is already extremely hydrated, so I couldn’t tell much of a difference, but that’s not to say anything negative about the product!  If someone with dry skin tried these out, they’d likely have a completely different experience.
