Lauren Brooke Cosmetiques Review!

I love makeup. It’s a fairly new love, but it’s as intense as if it would have started when I was a child. I’m obsessed. I can’t stop buying…using…trying different types of makeup. In a month’s time, I went from only having the bare minimum to get by, to having BASKETS and BASKETS full.

So, now that you know how I feel about makeup, you have to know that I was THRILLED to receive products from Lauren Brooke Cosmetiques to review. Not only does Lauren Brooke Cosmetiques have so many beautiful options to choose from, they also are ORGANIC, which is always a positive in my book. I won’t even pretend that I follow an all organic lifestyle (or even close to one), but if I can, I do love to choose organic products over other options available. The item on the list that makes me the happiest actually doesn’t have anything to do with the ingredients – NO ANIMAL TESTING. This is a huge positive for me as I’m an animal lover – and I’m happy to see that Lauren Brooke Cosmetiques feels the same!

Now, onto the amazing products I received to review!

First off, I’ll review my favorite of the three (not to say they aren’t all absolutely wonderful) – Victorian Rose Cheek Colour!

Thinking about my makeup obsession, one of my favorite products is blush! Blush did not make an appearance as part of my daily routine until recently, but once it made it’s debut, it’s never left! The company states that this product is “formulated with all natural earth pigments, plus Organic Raspberry and Comfrey derived Allantoin for beautiful, healthy looking cheeks.” I’ll definitely say that I believe my cheeks looked both BEAUTIFUL and HEALTHY while using this blush!

LOOK AT THAT GORGEOUS COLOR! And it doesn’t take much of the powder to achieve this look. 🙂 If you are someone who prefers a more natural color on the cheeks, you could always finish with powder to help blend the look.

Next, the Chianti Lip Colour!

Usually, I’m a pink, red, or coral girl when it comes to what I put on my lips. Recently, I’ve started trying to venture out and try different colors…purples, browns – the darker colors that I was hesitant to try in the past! When I was looking at products I wanted to try from the Lauren Brooke Cosmetiques website, I decided that I wasn’t going to go with my “tried and true” and was instead going to venture into uncharted territory…and that is why I picked the beautiful Chianti Lip Color. It’s described on the website as a “neutral rose brown shimmer” and I don’t think I’ve ever done brown on my lips before (especially this dark). I was drawn to how beautiful the color looked, so I took the plunge!

And let’s just say I have no regrets! In person, it looks much more brown toned than it does in this picture. I do a light coat as I’m still warming up to become super adventurous, but I definitely look forward to the day when I can go outside and let this lip colour shine in its full glory…come on Fall! And last, but most certainly not least – Tanzi/Sandalwood Pressed Eyeshadow Custom Compact!

Beautiful, beautiful eyeshadow colors! Long-lasting wear and great fall colors (can anyone tell I’m preparing for the fall?)! I love most of the Pressed Eyeshadow Compacts that they have, but when I saw these two colors, I just couldn’t resist having them together in a custom compact…and I really feel I made the right decision on this!
