First off, I’m not much of a cook (see picture below for proof). That being said, my husband is a FANTASTIC cook! I help him sometimes, but I usually don’t have a clue what I’m doing, so he just takes the lead when it comes to the kitchen.
This is why I’m super thankful that I received the EatSmart Precision PRO Digital FOOD Thermometer to review!
Anything that makes it possible for me to take any guesswork out of cooking is a great tool for me! To start, let’s hear about the product directly from the company!
What the Precision Pro Does – The Precision Pro allows users to easily grill or roast food to just the right temperature. Simply unfold the stainless steel probe, insert into the thickest part of the meat and in 5 seconds or less, the proprietary sensor registers an extremely accurate internal food temperature. The accuracy of the thermometer translates into food grilled to perfection. Other innovative features include:
- EatSmart designed specifically for professional and home cooks alike. Durable, reliable and easy to use.
- Rapid Response Time – Temperatures in 5 Seconds or Less;
- BROAD Temperature Range -40F to 450 F
- 1.5mm Step-Down Probe – Reduces Puncture Hole Size to Keep Juices in Meat; FDA Approved
- Innovative Splash Proof Design; Anti-Microbial Sleeve Inhibits Bacteria Growth
- 1 CR2032 battery included; EatSmart 2 year Full Warranty
The Precision PRO takes the guess work out of cooking, baking and grilling resulting in delicious meals cooked to perfection both indoors and out.
First off, super easy to use…you stick the end of the thermometer into the center of the meat, turn it on, and measure the temperature! For easy reference, the lid of the thermometer includes temperatures that you are likely to need when cooking –
Here’s a story for you about me using this product and my recent cooking experience –
I decided that I was going to make chicken breasts, easy enough right? BUT, I’m super horrible at looking at food and telling if it is cooked properly or not. I looked a few times and was thinking it probably needed more time, but was worried about burning it and/or cooking it too long and ending up with a super dry dinner. As everyone knows, you do NOT want to serve under-cooked chicken (the risk of salmonella!). While I was questioning whether to cook it longer or not, I remembered “HEY! I HAVE THE FOOD THERMOMETER I CAN USE!” So, I grabbed my EatSmart Precision PRO Digital Food Thermometer, stuck it in the chicken breasts, and checked the temperature. 165 degrees…exactly where the handy reference chart says poultry needs to be! By looking at the outside, I would have definitely guessed it needed more cooking time, so I’m very thankful I had this to use…because the chicken breast turned out fantastic! Great taste, full of moisture, and definitely not OVER cooked or UNDER cooked. Yay!
The Verdict: Recommend!
