Since we are on the topic of my lovely pets, I thought I’d take a second to talk about my Papillon named Alex (didn’t want him to get jealous since Ivy was mentioned in the previous post).  Alex is probably the perfect dog.  

He doesn’t break the rules, he obviously loves me unconditionally, and is a great night-time snuggler…but one issue that Alex has is allergies.  If he eats the wrong food, he turns lobster red.  And if he gets washed with the wrong shampoo?  Lobster red again.  That’s why I was super excited to get a chance to try out the Anti-Allergen Pet Shampoo from Ecology Works.

I have tried numerous shampoos and a lot of them end up not being usable on little Alex.  The last thing I want is to cause my furbaby to have an allergic reaction!  Shortly after receiving this product, it was bath time (one of Alex’s most hated things)!  As I scrubbed him in the bathtub and he stared into space in anger, I was curious to see how his delicate skin would react to this product.  I lathered and rinsed, towel-dried, combed him out, and blow-dried (yes, he loves the blow-dryer).  When I was done and had a chance to check out his skin, it looked great!  NO redness at all!  Now, that’s something I like to see!

The Verdict:  Definitely would think this would be a good product to use on any dogs with sensitive skin!
