I contacted Nad’s to see if they would be interested in sending me a couple of products to review and their customer service was fantastic!  They were very generous and easy to work with and offered to send me two products to review – Nad’s Facial Wax Strips and Nad’s Facial Wand Eyebrow Shaper.

Let’s start with the Nad’s Facial Wax Strips.  This is what the Nad’s website had to say about this product –

“A quick and easy way to remove unwanted facial hair from the upper lip, cheek, chin and side of the face. No heating required as these strips are ready when you are – just rub, peel and go!

Made with beeswax, the facial wax strip is designed with a soft contour weave paper technology that is flexible and conforming to the curves of your face.”

So the basic steps are to warm the strips between your hands, pull them apart slowly, stick it on your face, and yank it off!  Pretty simple…but you might want to read the directions to get the minute details that I might not have added in the quick summary above. 😉  

And, sorry to disappoint, but I did not get pictures of the strips stuck to my face or of “yanking” the strips off of my face!  (I’m sure you would have got some great facial expressions there!)  Pictorial direction’s from the Nad’s website –

 

I will say that it did not hurt quite as much as I’d expected!  And it definitely did it’s job!  Hair was removed!  Can you see it?

But…a warning…when they say, “Don’t do the same part multiple times in a row,” you should probably choose to listen to that warning as opposed to ignoring it.  This injury on my chin is due to my inability to follow the rules at times…

So, FOLLOW THE RULES.  🙂

The next review is on Nad’s Facial Wand Eyebrow Shaper.  The Nad’s website has the following to say about this product –

This is what I received – 

One Facial Wand (with 6 g of wax), 10 Cotton Strips, and four Pre-Wax Cleansing Wipes.

Here are your directions to follow directly from the Nad’s website –

The basic how to – clean the part you plan to wax, use the wax pen to apply wax to the area, put the strips on, and (again) yank it off!  I’ll admit, I was much more scared of this one than the other one because I would HATE to accidentally rip off my whole eyebrow.  I was apprehensive, but tried it anyways!  A perk to this product is supposed to be that you don’t have to heat it; however, you can set it in warm water to warm if necessary.  I tried without warming and had ZERO hair pulled.  I tried with warming and had limited hair pulled, but not a lot honestly.

For me, this product didn’t work, but it could be because I had recently taken care of my eyebrow hairs and the wax might not have had a lot to grab on to.  FYI, this product can also be used on the upper lip and chin as well.  I’ll have to try it again in the future when I haven’t recently just plucked my eyebrows!

The Verdict:  I would DEFINITELY buy the Nad’s Facial Wax Strips (BUT, I’d also definitely follow the rules!), but I’m not sure if I’d purchase the Nad’s Facial Wand Eyebrow Shaper until I’m able to try it again in the future!
