I contacted Shiro Cosmetics and asked to try their products.  They said that they did not do free samples, but said that they have samples on their website for $1 each with $2.75 for shipping.  I really wanted to try out their products (since I had heard great things), so it was worth it for me to try!  They also said that I could add a note in the comment section about another I would like to try and they would include it as well.  Customer service was EXTREMELY helpful and she offered her suggestions for my needs…I chose to get samples of all she suggested!

I ended up buying small makeup jars off of Amazon to place each of these in so they’d be easier to use.  Last night, I decided to swatch all the colors on my hand and OH MY GOD, the colors are so amazingly vibrant!  I LOVE vibrant colors so that excited me. I picked my favorite and decided that I would wear it today and see about it’s lasting power.  I chose to try Gizmo first. 🙂  (And FYI, it wasn’t just because I’m a huge Gremlins fan!)

By the way, did you notice it’s VEGAN?  That’s always a plus. 🙂  (I’m not sure why the labels say “Detrivore Cosmetics.” Edit: Caitlin at Shiro Cosmetics informed me, “We actually stock two brands, Shiro which is our house line and then Detrivore Cosmetics which is a company that we bought out a while back.”)  By the way, all of their products have awesome names…their tagline is “Hand-Crafted Makeup and Geekery” – that alone is worth purchasing!

But onto the product…I couldn’t believe how BEAUTIFUL this color was on!  It seriously stayed all day long without any issues.  At 6:30 AM this morning I put my makeup on and at 2:30 PM, I decided to take a picture of the eyeshadow (Ladies, that’s EIGHT hours later!).  Here are the results – 

Can you believe how BEAUTIFUL it still looked?  With ZERO touch-ups!  All I can say is that I 100% WILL be buying from this company in the future.  (FYI, I also use Urban Decay Primer Potion, so that helps with eyeshadow staying power as well.)
